Our Favorite Things for the First Year

I've been looking back at all the baby gear we've accumulated in the past year and thought I'd put together a list of our favorite things.

Baby carriers! Annie has always enjoyed these. When she was a newborn we used the sling the most. The Gent would put her in it and walk in circles around the house until she'd fall asleep.

When it is cool outside, I love the Moby wrap. It is comfortable and keeps Annie cozy. And you can wrap it in different ways depending on what baby likes.

Ahhhh the Ergo. We have an Ergo performance and we use it when it is hot outside. This is what got us through football season. It is easy to wear and doesn't strain my back and shoulders at all.

Annie sleeps more soundly in her sleep sack. When she was a newborn we used one that was also a swaddle wrap. These are convenient and made my life easier, so it definitely makes the list.

We settled on Luvs diapers. They fit Annie well, don't leak, and are "cost-effective." What more could you want in a diaper?

We use our Chicco stroller almost every day. It is wearing well and is easy to navigate with one hand, since I have three dog leashes in the other. :)

This is one of our favorites, but any board book will do. Annie adores books and we take one with us everywhere.

Boppy. This wonder pillow makes nursing a newborn lots easier. We also used it for tummy time and to help Annie practice sitting up.

Good old A&D ointment prevented many a diaper rash. Seriously, Annie only had one bad rash in the past year.

Rainforest Jumperoo. This has been Annie's favorite place to play when I need to contain her for a few minutes. We started using it at four months old and are still using it now. Annie loves to jump and play with the toys and watch the lights flash.

There you go, our favorite things for baby. What did your babies love?
