Nora's Ballet Recital

Nora had been looking forward to her first ballet recital for years, and it did not disappoint! She LOVED being on stage and she knew every step of her dance. She was so poised and proud, and we were, too!

Thomas: Three Months

Our sweet little gift is three months old and not so little anymore, but he's grown even sweeter. All of the sudden Thomas seems so big--he's moved to size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes. His siblings continue to adore him and always want to hold him and play with him. He smiles and "talks" to us all day long (in between naps) and we all smother him in kisses. He is a happy baby until all of the sudden he is not--if he is hungry or tired, he's done. We love you, Thomas! Watching you grow is the best!

Easter 2019

Easter is my favorite holiday. Jesus's resurrection changes everything and I am so thankful that my Savior swallowed up death in victory. Two years ago at Easter, I was waiting for David's birth. Last year, I was looking ahead to David's first birthday and considering another baby. This year, I held Thomas as he slept through the service. So many emotions wrapped around one holiday...grief and joy all at once. I am grateful for this day.

Resurrection Letters

This Lenten season I've been listening to Andrew Peterson's Resurrection Letters trilogy--Prologue, Volume 1, and Volume 2. Here are a few of my very favorites, if you are looking for music to prepare your heart for Easter.

One Big Party

With a new baby this year, I just didn't feel up to hosting multiple birthday parties. I convinced the kids it would be really fun to have one big blowout birthday party and they totally went for it. ;) They were actually very excited to celebrate all their birthdays together. I made dozens of cupcakes, invited all the friends they wanted, and rented an inflatable obstacle course. This party was easy for me and so much fun for all the kids!

Thomas: Two Months

Miss me? :) Life just got a bit busy. You know, five kids and homeschooling and nursing a baby. And we just put our house back on the market.

Without further excuses, here is Thomas at two months! He is the most adorable, precious baby in the whole wide world. He is nursing great and smiles and coos at us all day long. When he's not taking excellent naps, that is. Night-time sleep is still inconsistent. He wakes every 2 to 4 hours. He's just hungry! Thomas only cries if he is tired. He really is the best fifth baby you could ask for. We love him more than we could ever say!

Also, his big brother is a baby whisperer. Jacob has serious calming skills--which is hilarious because he is a crazy, goofy, full of energy almost eight year old boy. But he can sit and hold and pat and shush like a rockstar. Love the bond these two are already building.
