Annie: Six Months

Annie is a half a year old already! She wasn't in the best mood for these photos, but I got a few good ones.

Annie has had a crazy couple of months with lots of traveling, packing, and moving. She is happy to be settled in at our new house and loves routine. She has become quite the mama's girl this month. I think we may just give up on the church nursery for a while {sigh}. Annie also loves to suck on the first two fingers of her right hand. She loves all kinds of rattles and small toys she can hold and manipulate. She rolls over and pushes up all the time, and she can sit for a few seconds unassisted. But what she really likes is standing.

She is teething and has had a couple of fussy days. Teething is also interfering with her sleep. She has started waking up between 5 and 5:30 the past two weeks, so this week we started stretching her back to 6am. Then she nurses and goes back to sleep till 8. I hope in the next couple of weeks she will go back to sleeping 8-8 straight through! Annie has decided she likes to sleep on her tummy, I put her down on her back and she rolls right over.

We plan to try solids on Monday. We are going to start with sweet potatoes. We'll see what she thinks - there will be pictures! Honey and I went and bought baby plates and spoons and sippy cups. It made me sad to think Annie is already big enough for solids. :( But I think she is ready and will enjoy her first taste of food!

Annie is wearing size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes, but 6-9 month pajamas. She is long and lean and all-around adorable!

  3. Annie is such a cutie! I can't believe that she's already 6 months old. Thomas loves sweet potatoes - in fact, I'm cooking some for him right now. Looking forward to seeing some messy, food pictures :)
