One year ago today . . .

. . . JJ was returned to our custody after an absence of exactly four weeks. We have treasured this past year with him and have had so much fun watching him grow and learn! He is a little boy now, not the baby who came to us. JJ loves any and all toys he can manipulate, take apart, destroy, and put back together. He enjoys playing outside, especially with his lawn mower and water sprayer. He likes the water and any cars, trucks, or things that go. We don't know what his future holds and are conscious of the sadness surrounding his current placement in foster care, but we are thankful for these days the Lord has given JJ to us. Tomorrow he will be three. Happy birthday, JJ!
