Baby Guessing Game Winners
Congrats to Bebe for getting the date right and Poppa for coming closest on the length and weight! No one came any where close to her name--we succeeded in keeping it a secret!

Sprinkle for Munchkin!
Sweet friends hosted a baby sprinkle for me and Munchkin. I enjoyed a mama's night out and had fun celebrating our newest baby. Munchkin doesn't need much, and received just the right mix of practical gifts and a few special things--just for her--that aren't hand-me-downs from her big sisters.
Munchkin, by this weekend I think I'll have everything done that I "had" to finish before you arrived. How do you feel about coming Monday? It is a holiday and all. ;)

Munchkin Nine Months and the Baby Guessing Game!
Nine months and almost there! I suddenly realized I have about three million small tasks and then several big ones I want to get finished before Munchkin arrives. Thankful for my sweet husband who is putting up with my nesting combined with my annual January deep clean and clean out urge! It is busy around here, for sure. Here's a peek at what's on my big to-do list...
Put away Christmas décor
Clean out house, sort Craigslist postings and charitable donations
Re-do storage as needed (arts and crafts, linens, shoes)
Sort items for consignment sale
Update family scrapbook
Update kids’ Shutterfly books
Order Annie’s invitations
Finish planning/shopping for Annie’s birthday party
Amazon order
Set up nursery
Clean cars; rearrange car seats and install baby seat
Preregister at hospital and type kids’ schedule
Have downstairs electrical work and drywall repair completed
Make 4 more meals and 6-8 loaves bread for freezer
Set up Jacob’s big boy room
Have carpet installed in playroom
Set up play room
Re-bid insurance
Get oil changed and tires rotated
Pack hospital bag, include birth plan and gifts for kids
Then if I have time I'll deep clean the house. Spent 2 1/2 hours on the kitchen yesterday and it is pretty sparkly! :)
Now time for the baby guessing game. If you want to play, leave a comment with your guess on:
- baby's name
- when she will arrive (for reference, I'm due Jan 25; Annie was 4 days late and Sophie 6 days late)
- how much she will weigh and how long she will be

Munchkin: Eight Months
A little late but here we are! Baby is growing well and I have reached the point where I have to sit down to put my shoes on--no more balancing on one foot while I tie gym shoe laces. I've been having lots of Braxton-Hicks contractions for the past couple of months, but I think we're still several weeks away from the real thing (33 1/2 weeks now). We'll set up the double nursery for baby and Sophie to share after Christmas, get the car seat down from the attic, and buy some diapers. I think we'll be ready after that! Another baby girl--what a sweet blessing from the Lord!

Munchkin: Seven Months + Bonus Ultrasound Pic
Here we are and growing nicely but thankfully slowly on the weight gain. Looks like I can continue to indulge in ice cream several times a week. :) I had an extra ultrasound at 28 weeks to check on the placenta, which has shifted up, and baby is head down (stay that way, Munchkin), so I am preparing for another natural birth. Which will be hard but worth it...I don't think I'll think about that too much just yet, ha! I am feeling good and yoga three times a week keeps the back pain at bay. JJ and Annie are starting to get a kick out of feeling baby kick. So all is well here on the baby front, we'll just keep on as we are for one more trimester!

Munchkin at 20 Weeks!
Baby girl looks healthy and is a wiggler! The Gent and I enjoyed watching her dance around on the screen. Her name is decided but won't be announced until she's born. Have to have some element of surprise! Annie and JJ are excited about another baby sister and Sophie smiles a lot but doesn't really understand yet. The placenta is a little low but the doctor doesn't think it will cause any problems. Praying it moves up a bit as baby grows. I'll have another ultrasound at 28 weeks to make sure. Yay baby pictures!

Munchkin: Four Months
Almost 17 weeks now. I'm finally over the nausea this month--yay! And excited to find out soon if we are having a boy or a girl. I'm starting to feel little movements. I think that's my favorite part of pregnancy. And I'm going to need maternity clothes soon. So far I've been getting by with light summer dresses but I'm not sure how much longer those will hold out. :)

Munchkin: One, Two, and Three Months
one month

two months

three months

On to the second trimester! May it be filled with more energy and less nausea. So far this pregnancy is progressing very similarly to Annie's and Sophie's. I have been tired and sick, which is normal for me. (But yay I finally lost the last few pounds from Sophie's pregnancy!) The nausea is getting better but I am ready for it to be gone completely! Thankfully I usually have very easy pregnancies once I get past the first few months.
Annie and JJ are very excited about baby. We took them with us for my 12 week appointment and let them hear the heartbeat, and then we told them we were having another baby. Annie was mesmerized and JJ now wants to touch my belly all the time. Sophie is not quite sure what it is all about but I'm sure she'll catch on eventually. :)
