Big Sister
(did you get it?!?)
(we're really excited around here)
'Cause there's a baby on the way!
We're due mid-November.
I know, most folks would say it is too early to be sharing our news. But I have my reasons.
We're really, really, really excited about our family's new addition.
Our extended family knows already.
We know from past experience that if a pregnancy ends in a miscarriage we have to tell our family then, and I have to write about it to process. So we might as well tell the happy news and let you pray with us over this little one than wait in case things go wrong and have to tell you then.
And as a dear friend counseled me last week, I'm not going to let fear still my joy over this little one. We're having a baby!! No matter what, this child is already part of our family.
Just wanted to share that joy with you! But hey . . . shhhhhh . . . if you know us in real life, it is still a "secret" in public circles (like work or church) until the second trimester.
Happy Monday!

Congratulations!!!! Will you still be continuing your foster parenting classes, or are you going to hold off while you focus on your growing family? I know whatever decision you make will be the right one.
ReplyDeleteI'm soooo excited! I feel like the little boy in the Disney commercial - I'm too excited to sleep! Being a Honey is so much fun! I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteWe are SOOOOOOOOO excited for you :) God is so good at knowing when it’s time to add to our families. His reasoning is beyond what we can understand sometimes, but later we agree with Him! Having children is the biggest blessing in life, no matter how many or how few, no matter if by birth, by fostering, or by adoption... just being a part of God’s creation that is only here to bring Him glory and point others to Him - there's no greater honor! He always provides the means, the energy, the organization & the love for more of His children! Love y'all!
